My story is simple. About curiosity and discovery. What can I move out of place to see differently? What can I move into position to soothe my OCD? Inside me is a mix of elation, ecstasy, hurt, torn pantyhose from falling on my knees, getting bucked off and phoning my Dad from Circle K to save me, laughing at people, laughing at myself, crying until the blood in my heart quells. THIS! 

I observe. Stay silent and read my surroundings. People. Nature and animals. Facial expressions. Body language. There’s always information available. This girl is a seeker. A woman who flexes her emotions against their edges. I embrace occasional chaos to read its meaning and turn it to the light. My artwork reflects this. I PUSH high contrast and LOVE rendering the glow of light. It’s always there behind the darkness. The light. The glow. The warmth. I enjoy painting figures that emerge from darkness into light, then dissipate into abstraction. I paint how I reflect. How I glow or fade. How my face and body move and change with life’s rhythms. 

My paintings are my reflection with gravity. Held to canvas by the universal thread. They’re a lifetime of fine cuts that bleed into one. The same “one” that houses YOUR cuts. We live hard. We live deep. If we’re aware, we know life is just a burnt marshmallow in a S’more. Who cares if it’s burnt! It’s gushy and sweet in the center…then the chocolate drips down your chin.
